The Faire is brimming with stories: breathtaking builds and fantastical creations designed to touch your heart and soul. What stories do they inspire in you? We invite you to put your Fantasy Faire experience into words.
Severina (Lokii Violet)
From the mists, the village peeks from beneath its blanketing shadow, spires that reach to the heavens for salvation that never comes. It’s spoken only as a myth to some, where creatures of the darkness hold dominion over the very light itself to swaddle the island in the goddess of the night’s sway. Severina sings like a siren’s call, beckoning the wayward travelers from their domiciles. Stray not too far without a lantern, and raise your glass and tip your hat to the ferryman, for he may be the last one that sees you to that good rest if you don’t make it to the next night.
Seeds of Story
These are suggestions. Be inspired by this land and write what you desire.
What is this terrible place guarded by the basilisk stare of a medusa? You watch her from afar, not daring to meet her eyes and hoping she does not spy you walking stealthily along the dark pathways. You shudder, remembering the stories you heard about her. What were they again?
Did that tree move? Did the glowing eyes shift, seeking you out? Why did you ever come here? Did you take a dare, oh foolish traveler? Are you fulfilling some dread geas or vow? Why are you hear?
The buildings here are clearly well crafted and solidly build. The raised roads, too, were made by skilled craftmen. Where have they gone? Are they dead? Have they become the spirits that haunt this place? What is their story?
The medusa looms above, waters cascading down, turning to mist before it reaches the ground. Stars, or something like stars, falls from the heavens. You wonder, what was this place at its height? Was all this part of its history? Or somehow, in some unknown way, did evil overtake this city? What were the last days of this city like?
Something high above catches your eye. A winged guardian. You can feel his sadness and yet he does not seem to be part of the evil here. What does he wait for? Can you aid him in restoring this city to the light?
