LitFest Tour: Ardessa

The Faire is brimming with stories: breathtaking builds and fantastical creations designed to touch your heart and soul. What stories do they inspire in you? We invite you to put your Fantasy Faire experience into words.

Ardessa (Éclair Martinek)

Ardessa hosts this year’s Fairelands Quest and is where all the brave Fairelanders will adventure as they try to help the Bard Queen.

Seeds of Story

These are suggestions. Be inspired by this land and write what you desire.

Ardessa, land of questing. As you wander down this path, or perhaps another, following bright butterflies, what will you find? What will you see along the way?

There are magical places to be found here. Many are tucked away, one might say hidden, so be sure to look carefully. Who might live in the caves that open out from such a magical garden?

The path might lead you to the shore, where restless waves wash in along the strand. What lies beyond the horizon of this land? Is this, perhaps, how those who live here first arrived?

Not all the places you find will be …. welcoming. Some may not even be safe. These skulls, their eyes alight, whisper as they turn slowly in the sluggish air. What do they say? What do they want?

After such a disturbing experience, you need peace. Luckily, such places abound here. You find this spot and breathe deeply, feeling serene. What is the ball into which the ladies gaze? If you look, what would you ask to see?

Share your work in draft or final with the rest of the tour in a voluntary open mic, or submit your piece within 24 hours – either inworld or by email – to be posted online along with others inspired by the same region. Some of the these tales will be chosen for broadcast on Fantasy Faire Radio, and may also appear on the Fantasy Faire channel on You Tube. If you do NOT wish your work broadcast, please indicate this on your submission.

You  retain creative ownership of works shared

The Ardessa Tour will take place Sunday, May 6, from 5:00 until 6:00 pm SLT.
